JONESBOROUGH- Cecil Gregg, 61, passed away on Friday (September 11, 2015) at the Johnson City Medical Center.
He was a lifelong resident of this area where he worked in construction and engineering. Mr. Gregg loved his children and family and enjoyed having a good time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelly Davidson Gregg, parents, Marcell Gregg and Stella Ruth Ryans Gregg.
He is survived by his son, Colton Gregg, daughters, Cheyenne Gregg, and Christine Maltey, his extended family, Angela “Pookie” Webb, Ronnie, Hack, and Steve Rines, grandchildren, Elijah Gregg, Shelly, Sierra, Taylor, Mariah, and Caleb, 3 great grandchildren, his partner, Sharma Baines and her children, Lynn, Brad, and Amy Hubbard, brothers, Ed Gregg and wife, Joyce, Bob Gregg and wife, Sue, Larry Gregg and wife, Sandy, sisters, Ruby Casey, Fannie Compton, Janice Baines, Linda Milam and husband, Steve, Darlene Wallen and husband, Jack, and Melissa Dockery.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Monday in the chapel of Tribute Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Eddie McAmis and Rev. Charlie Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the service hour and also at the home of his sister, Fannie Compton, 182 Gregg Town Rd, Jonesborough, TN.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in Bacon – Kincheloe Cemetery. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 A.M to go in procession.
Pallbearers will be his brothers, Ed, Bob, and Larry, Steve Milam, and Jack Wallen.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his children to help with final expenses.
