Daniel E. Babb, Telford, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly, Monday, September 21, 2015, at his residence.
Dan was the son of the late Dayton and Thelma Brumitt Babb.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Babb and Ricky K., and nephew, Anthony Babb.
Babb Dan was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army. He attended Jubilee Rock Church, where he was an active member. He loved his horses, and riding, and Western movies. Dan also loved working for Thomas Construction as a truck driver.
Survivors include a son David Babb, Fort Payne, Alabama; Sisters, Marjorie Zehring Ford, Jonesborough, Linda Babb, Caribou, Maine, and Margaret White, N.B, Canada; Brother, Rocky Babb and wife Amy, Jonesborough. Those also left to cherish his memories include, Patricia Zehring, Joshua Zehring, Jacob Zehring, MaryAnne Morrow, and his two special sidekicks, Zoe and Kal-El Zehring, all of Jonesborough.
The funeral service for Mr. Babb will be conducted on Friday, September 25, 2015, at 7:00 PM at Tribute Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Linda Babb and Elder Dennis Carrico officiating. Music will be provided by Betty Baker and the Joyful Sounds.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Tribute Funeral and Cremation Services.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 1:45 PM, Monday, September 28, 2015, at the Mountain Home National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Boone Dam V.F.W. Active pallbearers will be Joshua Zehring, Jacob Zehring, Rocky Babb, Bill Keith, Henry Stacy, and Jim Yelton. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Thomas Construction.
Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 to go in procession to the cemetery on Monday.
