JOHNSON CITY- Jose Rolando Mijares Flores, 45, passed away on Saturday (February 13, 2016). Jose was born in Mexico and had came to the United States when he was 14 where he retained his legal permanent residency many years ago. He worked hard every day to support his wife and three children. Jose was loved by everyone who knew him and never had troubles with anyone. He was married to his wife, Juanita for 23 years. Jose will be missed by his family, co-workers, and friends. May God help us to live like brothers and sisters no matter where we come from. He is survived by his wife, Juana (Hurtado) Mijares, three sons, Jose Luis, Juan Rolando, and Jesus Mijares Hurtado, brothers, Lucino, Guillermo, Enrique Mijares, all of California, Ignacro and Efrain Mijares, both of Mexico, sister, Angelica Mijares of California, nephew, Oscar Vvaldo Vazquez Mijares, special friends, Sergio Arroyo Contreras, Antonio Mijares Martinez, and Adolfo Contreras. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 to 9:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The family will greet friends from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour. Burial will follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
