Kandi Wishon, age 74, of Johnson City, passed away Friday, August, 19, 2016 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Hubert Brown and Rosa Cordia Campbell Seals.
Kandi was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her family more than anything. Kandi was an extremely talented crafter and could make anything she wanted. She also found great enjoyment in singing. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Kandi was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. She is survived by her husband, Richard Wishon, of the home; three sons, James Smith and wife, Venus, Anthony Smith, and Matthew Smith and wife, Penni, all of Johnson City; three daughters, Angela Palmer of Orlando, FL, Tami McCorkle and husband, Kenneth, of Knoxville, and Heather Widner and husband, Tim, of Sevierville; her sister, Shelia Whitaker of Johnson City; 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews and her loving dog, Winky, also survive. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Kandi’s sisters-in-law, Jo Peters and Sue Hardin.
The visitation for Mrs. Wishon will be conducted on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Tribute Funeral and Cremation Services chapel, 240 Suncrest Street, Johnson City (Gray Community). The funeral service will follow Wednesday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dewey Ward officiating. The graveside service will follow immediately in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to help with the funeral expenses.
